I wanted to find out what was beyond work, being hyper career focused and always striving to improve and achieve that next goal.
That’s why I picked up the paintbrush 7 years ago to begin a 5-day painting challenge. That 5-day challenge turned into a 30 day one and then 100 days and then into a full-on *I-CAN’T-LIVE-WITHOUT-IT* relationship with creativity.
Who we become and by that I mean, someone who is present, content, calm and in a state of child-like wonder + awe.
The beauty, appreciation, joy and satisfaction we get to experience, make and share.
What we get to discover about ourselves and one another.
The understanding, connection and curiosity we can foster.
Developing a joyful relationship with my creativity helped me rewrite the story that “I’m not creative”, feel confident calling and relating to myself as an artist and develop a deep appreciation for the meaning and joy the creative process gives us….even if what we create isn’t understood or appreciated by others. I’ve learned so much about myself through my relationship with creativity and I feel so much more connected to who I truly am because of it.
Reclaim our leisure time, so we can make space in our lives to create things with our hands and imaginations that adds joy, satisfaction, wonder to our own lives (and the world).
Access that playful state/energy as adults and spend time playing with our friends, family and community.
Believe in and nurture our capacity to be creative over our entire lifetime (not just in pre-school, not just in college).
Widen our perspectives and celebrate that creativity and play have value beyond just enhancing our productivity and profits.
Use play + creative self-expression to help heal the societal fractures and polarization that are putting our well-being, our communities and our ability to collaborate and solve collective problems at risk.

My own personal journey of cultivating a joyful relationship with creativity over the last 9 years. And with it comes stacks of full notebooks and paintings, lessons, experience overcoming multiple creative ruts and processing fear and self-doubt, creativity tools and a bunch of paint-splattered clothes.
Me, a fellow human, on a creative journey of my own.

Krista has such a warm approach to coaching! Her presence and authenticity is something you can 'feel' from the start, and that enabled me to say the things I wasn't saying elsewhere. Krista's ability to listen and help me to make sense of my thoughts was brilliant. For someone who constantly feels tangled in a mess, Krista gently guided me to unravel this and make sense of what I was feeling and thinking. I am forever grateful for the calm, safe space that Krista created for me to be myself and work through my personal challenges in life - as well as the fun we had along the way also! - Charlene
"I had 'Work with an Artist' on my bucket list, and I KNEW it was going to be Krista. From the variety of mediums in art she has shared online, I knew she would be the one to guide me through this process. The bonus here was the coaching. I knew what I wanted to create, but she did in a way that took pressure off the perfection.
This adventure went from producing something specific to more about the process. I reawakened parts of the creative process that I didn't even know were yearning to come out. I learned to give myself permission to be messy, untailored, and to surrender into the art of creation, not the finished product. Thank you so much Krista!! I'm excited to do this more in the future as I add to my own personal art collection."

"Krista created such a serene and safe space within our coaching sessions. She intuitively helped me in recognizing my strengths during a transitional and demanding period of my life and with her creative and kind approach I identified how I can support myself, in a way that is aligned with my values.
Krista listens at a deeper lever and she gives such space for exploration of feelings and needs which helped me reconnect with what I consider important. As a result I feel more confident after our sessions to work intentionally towards what I would like to achieve. I feel very grateful for the coaching I have received from her."

“Krista is a very professional and caring coach and I really enjoyed this journey of growing and learning thanks to her guidance. There were many situations where I felt stuck and I was very unsure of my own feelings and emotions. With her spot-on questions, she has helped me to really feel what is present and to find my own truth on what is the right next step. I also really appreciated those moments of silence where she held the space for when I needed it most. Krista´s coaching has helped me in making positive changes in multiple areas of my life. Thank you for this wonderful and enriching coaching experience.” - Juliane H.
