Curiosity, a craving and a touch of desperation……
I wanted to find out what was beyond work, being hyper career focused and always striving to improve and achieve that next goal.
That’s why I picked up the paintbrush 7 years ago to begin a 5-day painting challenge. That 5-day challenge turned into a 30 day one and then 100 days and then into a full-on *I-CAN’T-LIVE-WITHOUT-IT* relationship with creativity.
Who we become and by that I mean, someone who is present, content, calm and in a state of child-like wonder + awe.
The beauty, appreciation, joy and satisfaction we get to experience, make and share.
What we get to discover about ourselves and one another.
The understanding, connection and curiosity we can foster.
This is the potential + power of being creative and playful.
And I believe we’re just scratching the surface of it.
This is why I do what I do.
When I picked up a paintbrush for the first time, it was an excuse for me to make something that was messy, imperfect and completely for me.
Developing a joyful relationship with my creativity helped me rewrite the story that “I’m not creative”, feel confident calling and relating to myself as an artist and develop a deep appreciation for the meaning and joy the creative process gives us….even if what we create isn’t understood or appreciated by others. I’ve learned so much about myself through my relationship with creativity and I feel so much more connected to who I truly am because of it.
I do what I do because of what I see + believe is possible for us as individuals and as a collective human species when we:
Reclaim our leisure time, so we can make space in our lives to create things with our hands and imaginations that adds joy, satisfaction, wonder to our own lives (and the world).
Access that playful state/energy as adults and spend time playing with our friends, family and community.
Believe in and nurture our capacity to be creative over our entire lifetime (not just in pre-school, not just in college).
Widen our perspectives and celebrate that creativity and play have value beyond just enhancing our productivity and profits.
Use play + creative self-expression to help heal the societal fractures and polarization that are putting our well-being, our communities and our ability to collaborate and solve collective problems at risk.

TESTIMONIALS...
“Krista is a very professional and caring coach and I really enjoyed this journey of growing and learning thanks to her guidance. There were many situations where I felt stuck and I was very unsure of my own feelings and emotions. With her spot-on questions, she has helped me to really feel what is present and to find my own truth on what is the right next step. I also really appreciated those moments of silence where she held the space for when I needed it most. Krista´s coaching has helped me in making positive changes in multiple areas of my life. Thank you for this wonderful and enriching coaching experience.” - Juliane H.
